Step 1. Remove the MAF sensor from the factory air intake system, and disconnect the intake all way back to the throttle body. Then slip the 3” x1.5” black hose over the end of the MAF sensor and fasten it with a 3” hose clamp to the gooseneck on ram air box.

Step 2. Attach the ram air box to the radiator housing so that the throttle bodylines up straight with the hose attachment of the ram air box and bolt it into place using the small hole inside the air box.

Step 3. You will need to purchase a short 3”x8” flexible duct hose from a local Pontiac, or GM Dealer parts dept. part number GM #25170358 and replace the long existing hose on your throttle body. Connect the hose to the throttle body and the maf sensor using 3” hose clamps. (See Photo below)

Step 4. Once you have your maf sensor in place you will need to reroute the wire on the maf sensor electrical supply wire to reach the new location of the sensor, and place the sensor into the 5/8” rubber grommet.

Step 5. Connect the black 5/8” PVC valve hose onto the 5/8” metal fitting. Then place the filter into the air box with the flat side up. Place the foam gasket onto the hood around the air opening. Some models have an additional small hose that needs to be inserted in to the air stream. Do this by drilling a small hole into the side of the short hose that goes between the air box and the MAF sensor. Then insert the small hose into the side of it. You can purchase a small barbed fitting from your local hardware store for a good connection between the two hoses.

Note: Most 1993 Models do not have a MAF sensor, in this case just connect air box straight to the throttle body with flexible hose.
